About / Biographical note

I started in fashion.
I stayed for the people.

Portrait of Krysthal Velarde Ferdínez

I'm Krysthal, an advertising student with a background in fashion design and a growing interest in consumer behavior, communication strategy, and culturally driven advertising.

Before studying advertising at Suffolk University, I studied fashion design at Istituto Marangoni in Milan. What originally attracted me to fashion wasn't the garment itself. It was the question of why someone wanted to wear it. Why certain brands, aesthetics, or campaigns suddenly became meaningful to people and culture.

That curiosity eventually pulled me toward advertising. Today, I'm most interested in the relationship between audience behavior, cultural relevance, and creative communication, especially how brands use storytelling, humor, and identity to create emotional connection and memorability.

My work often explores the space where strategy meets culture, combining audience insight with visually driven campaign thinking.
